Most often than not, there are times when we stand up for our rights resulting in a loss of sales and profits.

Again the important question is: “Do you want to be ‘right’ or do you want to be ‘rich’?

Let’s put it this way.  Everyone see the world differently because of different brought-up and experience in life.

Each and everyone of us do not intend evil, just that we act on what is appropriate to the situation at that time based on our past memory and make-up.

We see the world differently and will act differently to the same situation.  No one is right or wrong, we just have a different worldview.

As such, let’s focus on making our business grow,  increasing our profit and grow our millionaire mindset instead of ‘fighting’ for OUR RIGHTS and get ANGRY.

Today is the first day of Harv Eker’s The Millionaire Mind Intensive Seminar.

 I am there among the 5,000 plus strong attendees.

There are a few things that amaze me ( not just the teaching but other things as well…)

I am amazed by:

  • The eagerness for knowledge and the thirst for learning by crowds.  They learn and share with passion.  Everyone is very motivated and i do hope that the motivation last after the seminar end.
  • The are open in their sharing.  One attendee share about her negative experience in life where her father left the family after he grows rich for a pub bar-girl. She has since develop the belief based on this conditioning that “Man should not be rich, else they will do something unfaithful.”  She also share that this thing happen to her now.  Her husband of two years is seeing another woman after growing his weatlth. (Harv reason that her problem lie in the thing that she focus on.  She focus on the fear of losing her man when he grows rich and the exact same thing that she focus on happen.  What we focus on expand. )

Here is something exceptional motivational from the movie Rocky Balboa. 

At his twilight years, Rocky agreed to come back on the ring again to fight a young champion boxer much much younger than himself.

In a meeting with his son, his son discovered him to come back to the ring.

Rocky said something inspirational like this: “… you will never going to hit as hard as life. It is NOT about how hard you hit but is how hard you get hit and keep moving forward. Whow… i have just read through Robert Collier’s Fifteen Million Dollar sales Letter and it has never failed to impress me.

Indeed, Robert Collier is a master copywriter.

His writing style is so soft, persuasive and powerful.  No wonder his mail orders pull and generate million and million of dollars for him.

Another thing i notice about Robert Collier sales letter is that he assumes the sales in the sales letter, even before the readers take any action.

The Late Gary Halbert’s Headline

This is one of the great headline written by the late Gary Halbert.

Here’s the headline:

How Even A Plain-Looking Woman
Can Become 350% More
Sexually Attractive
To Almost Any Man On Earth!

The advertisement is targeting woman who feel inferior in their look.

What’s so attractive about this headline is that it is direct, straight to the point and tell the specific.

The “350% More Sexually Attractive” is very specific and provide some form of believablility to an otherwise hypy headline.

The headline is direct and appeal to the niche, woman who look or feel unattractive.

Some headline may not be so direct.  An example is the John Caples “They Laughed When I Sat Down On The Piano But When I Started To Play…”

This John Caples famous headline trigger curiousity instead.

The question here is: Should we write direct or indirect headline?

I guess the answer is to test it and see which one pull the most sales.  ( remember that in direct response marketing, everything must be tested )

Personally, i will use the direct headline for market that has little patience and the indirect one for market that has more patience to hear a story.

Recently, I have the pleasure of meeting a friend of mine whom I have met while working out at the gym.  His name is Andy. 

Currently, he is working as a property agent.

During our conversation, I pick up a tip on how to soft sell your prospective customers.

Here is the story….In his line of work, he does cold-calling on the phone to reach out for more customers.
