Four Ways To Increase The Perceived Value Of Your Product

Every internet marketers want to make more money from selling their products.  The question is ‘How can we increase the perceived value of the product? And based on what?’

Well, the perceived value of your product is determine by your targeted market ( the person that you want to sell your product )

How they perceived your product is primary based on their value and belief.   And each one of them has different value and belief. It’s hard if you see them as an individual. However, you can generally influence the masses to see your product with a much higher perceived value based on some marketing tricks.

Here’s I will share with you 4 marketing tricks that can increase the perceived value of your product in your market place.

 Breakdown the products – Increase the Perceived value

Let’s say you are selling information product, an ebook.  And your ebook contain 5 modules.  You can break them up into 5 ebook instead of one. 

For example, if you are selling an ebook with the title “Internet Marketers Guide To Copywriting”, you can break it down into 5 ebooks with title like this: “Internet Marketers Guide To Copywriting – Volume X”, where x is the volume number.

Now instead of one ebook, you are offering them 5 ebooks.  This method will definitely increase the perceived value of the product in the eye of your customers.

Transform it!

Again if we used the previous example on selling an ebook, we can transform the information into different media.  For example, we can record them in audio (same information except that it is now presented in voice).  Combining with the ‘Breakdown’ tactic, you can offer 5 DVD home study set recording of each of the volume.

Instead of recording in voice, you can put it up as video by recording a Microsoft powerpoint presentation of your information with camtasia.  Or you can even demonstrate your information in front of  a camera, just like the documentary show you watch in TV.

Use Professional graphics for your products, displaying the individual product breakdown

As the Chinese said, a picture tells a thousand words.  If you have professional designed graphics of your product, then why not put them up in your sales page, ebook.

Some of the professional graphics are really well done and can definitely greatly increase the perceived of your buyers.

Create a sense of exclusivity to increase the perceived value of your product

You can frame the worldview of your prospects by telling them the exclusivity of your product.  For example, if you are selling some long lost copywriting secrets from some retired guru, tell them the story!

The story behind your product could increase the perceived value of your product if it is unique.
