Have Empathy!

Yes, put “Empathy” in your copy.

Write in such a way that your reader feels that you understand them, that you care for them.

People will not care for you unless they know that you care for them.

Yes, in order to capture your reader attention, you need to show them that you care for them. 

Care for them even if you do not know them.

This way, they will read your salescopy because they know you care for them!

Write to them like a friend.

If your friend is sick, what do you do?

You call them?

You sent them a bouquet of flowers with a “get well” card?

You visit them at the hosiptal or home?

Well that’s is what friend are for, right?

But….

How do you do that in your salescopy?

Well, write in a way that give your reader an impression that you understand his problem.  If you can describe his problem better than himself, not only will he feels good about you, he will trust you better.

Better still, telegraph in such a way that you are also facing the same problem as him.

Chances are when you call for his action (to buy from you or to give you his name and email), your reader will be more than likely to obey you as he know that you care for him, not just gunning for his money.

In the next few weeks, i will share with you some of my most closely guarded secrets to hardcore copywriting.

Yeah.. it is hard core because it is for anyone who is serious in persuing a career in copywriting.

If you are the right person, then you are in for a threat in the next few weeks.

The first lesson to “Hard Core” copywriting is a question that i have for you.

Why do you read this blog post?

You just read for fun?

Most probably not!

You read to get information.. not just ordinary information, but information that you want.

What do you want?

You want to know what are the “Hard Core” copywriting stuffs that you can use immediately to boost your sales or maybe to boost your profession ( if you are a copywriter )

Gotcha!

See, you read because you want to boost your sales letter or be a better copywriter.

So let’s take a step back from here…

When you write a salescopy, you will want to write it in such a way that it will appeal to your readers ‘want’.

A lot of salesletter out there just dish out some facts and features to impress the readers.

Facts and features are good but it must be used in conjuction with connecting with the reader.

How then can you connect with your readers?

By writing information that your readers want to know, want to hear, want to find out….

Their wants and their needs are two different thing. 

Let me use an example to illustrate my point.  

Let say you are proposing a solution for a smoker to quit smoke. Now this may be what he need.  He need to STOP smoking as smoking is bad for health.  But.. is this what he want? 

No… he want to continue to smoke and taste the sweet aroma of the nicotine.   Maybe he want to have a different flavour of nicotine smell… could be that he want nicotine that smell like vanilla or chocolate?  Can we package some cigarettes that give them what they want? 

Hmm… this is be a Huge market huh?

How do you know what your readers want?

Go talk to them, understand them, read the magazine that they read, talk to their friends, read about them or even virtualize yourself as them…

This way, you will be able to see the world from their prospective.

When you see what they see, you will then able to write on what they want.  You will know how to press their ‘hot button’.

Ah..  It’s that simple.

Writing on something on what they want is hypnotic to your readers.

Once you capture their attention, you can then direct them to your proposal (sell them your product! )

Why A DVD Can Be Sold For $500 And You Have Customers Cheerfully Buying It?


This is really a tactic use by the gurus.  They have been doing it everytime, but if you do not see it, you do not see it.

I am revealing this sneaky little tactic to you here, absolutely FREE!

You see… They organized a off-line seminars where they will market as a very high price event.   Maybe it will cost you $5000 to attend the seminar. 

Another trick is that they use to boost the number is by giving away this event for FREE to their customers who have brought a home study package from them.  This will increase the sales of their home study package as the bonus is position as an irresistible offer.

Alternatively, in desperation to boost up the number, they can give away seats for the events to their existing customers who have brought more than $10,000 or more products from them before. 

The key is to boost up the number of attendees at the high priced seminar. 

At the seminar, they will hire camera man to record the session into DVD and sell it for $500.  Do you not think that it is a real bargain to watch the entire $5,000 seminar and steal the exact same secrets that are revealed at the seminar for only $500, at the comfort of your home?

Oh yeah… i have another sneaky tactic to revealed to you.  At the end of the seminar, allow the attendees to advertise themselves and their website by recording them in sharing how much they have benefit from the seminar.   You win, they win.

With this recorded testimonies at hand, you can now proceed to write a sales letter with ready to go testimonies. :-)

Here is the long awaited part II of the ‘How The Gurus Are Doing It All Wrong In Continuity Program Part 1″ 

In this special posting, i am going to spill my heart out.

I am about to  reveal to you an amazing secret to doing a continuity program without the need to generate new content every month.

And this program is self-viral and expand your customer base by itself after you put in some hard work initially.  In other word, you can see your monthly income growing without doing any thing.

Whow!  What a system? 

This is a proprietary system invented by me truly.   No one has think about it and i am the only one that formulated and conceptualized it in my head.

And i call this strategy ‘The Lazy Man Way To Continuity Riches System’.

Yes, it is not just a system, but a POWERFUL, self funnel system.

Have you teased you enough?  Huh.. introducing the revolutionary ‘The Lazy Man Way To Continuity Riches System’.

Here are how you set up the system:

1)  You create an information product to teach people how to make money on the internet.  Do it very well the first time round and make sure that the product is of high value.  Yes, there are hard work involved, but you only do this once. :-)

2)  You sell the master franchise license of this product to your customer.  A master franchise license give you customer to license to i) Sell the product and make 100% of the profit.  ii) Sell the retail license to customer.  Retail license cost higher than the sales of the product itself.  Retail license give your customer the right to sell your product and make 100% of the profit.  iii)  Sell the master franchise license to customers, and this license cost the highest price. This license give your customer the power to do all the three points mentioned here. 

3) This is a leadership and selling program.  You help your customer who has brought the master franchise license to get clients who will also buy the master franchise license.  You formulated a standard and effective training system to help your customer to get their client by first showing them how to do it.  Once they are trained through the training and system, they should have a few customers under their belt.  They will in turn use the same training system to help their customers to get their clients.

Here are some rules to the system:

1)  You split the profit from the Master franchise license into five equal part.  This four profit are to be given to the four master franchisees who have reached a certain level in the hierarchy.  For example, we can divided the four level as A, B, C, D and E.   In this example, E has just got a client who brought the master franchise license. The profit from the sales are then given to E and D, C, B and A in the family tree, with A as the grand master franchisee who have help B to get C and C help D to get E and finally, D help E to get this new client.  We call this the royalties profit.

2) To incentivized D who has help E to get the new client, we factor in another profit for D and E.  I call this the Bonus Retail profit. As you can see, for every Mater franchise license being purchased, we have five royalties profit and two Bonus Retail profit to be distribute out.

3)  A very small fees from the sales of a Master Franchise license is given to the original creator of this product, that is you.  I call this the continuity fees. 

I am not sure if you can see what i see… in this ‘The Lazy Man Way to Continuity Riches System’, you sell a master franchise business with the same product. When people are making money and they are incentivized to help other make money, then the whole system will grow.  Let face it, people are motivated by money.  It’s kinda of an emotional thing, you know.  Take money out from you pocket and you will scream, i reckon.  

You will collect royalties and continuity fees as your continuity system expand.  Finally, you can smile your way to the bank without working anymore, not even employing employees to do the work for you or even outsourcing.  ‘The Lazy Man Way to Continuity Riches System’ will kick in automatically once you have generate enough momentum for the system to grow by itself.
