Something in marketing, you need to be brutally honest with your subscribers and customers.

Do not sugarcoat anything in your communication to them.  Tell them what it is and tell it from your heart.

If you are not an expert in Internet marketing, tell them.   Let them know what you can add value to their life from all sincerity of your heart.  And do not be afraid to ask for the money in exchange of the value that you give them.  However, one BIG secrets here is to give them MORE than what they pay you.  This is the KEY to be very successful in business and in life, in general.

To be successful, we need to give our customers MORE than what they pay for.   It’s not all about marketing… it’s about marketing sincerely and honestly.   People are not stupid.  They can smell you from a distance if you are not sincere in your communication to them, whether online or offline.  They will fled away from you like a leech.

When you are honest with your subscribers and customers, they will relate to you better.  That’s where relationships are foster and your bonding with them are strengthen.   As most internet marketers would have told you… the money is in the list.  I would say nonsense!  The money is in an well related and responsive list.

Everyone is jumping into the internt bangwagan.  

They want to make money online.  They went to live a internet lifestyle… a lifestyle of wealth, freedom and more freedom.

Well, you can but almost 90% of them failed.  They find themselves working harder and harder and hardly making a single dime, let alone enjoying a internet lifestyle.

What could have gone wrong?

Maybe they are missing up on something… something that are essential to put them in the top 10% who make real money online and truly enjoying the internet lifestyle.

So what are those missing pieces?

Here are what i think are the pillars that formed any successful internet marketing business.

1)   Profitable Sales Process

Nothing move without a sales.  If you want to own a successful internet marketing business, you need to make it profitable.  Treat the business like a business, not a hobby.  A business bring in money for you.  A hobby take money away from you.  That’s it. 

In all the process in your sales system (front end sales to back end sales to continuity sales etc), you need to test and tweat and push your sales figures to the maximum as possible at each stage.  Most importantly, know your sales number so that you can make the neccessary testing and adjustment.

2)   Automation

After you know that your sales processes are profitable with give you the maxium cashflow, then you automate it either by outsource the processes or automate it with technology or a combination of both.  In order to live a internet lifestyle, you need to build a business that can run on it own and generate maximum profit for you while you are on holiday.

However, it is no point automating the processes if any one of them are not optimized for maximum profit for you. As you can see, step 1 must always precede step 2.

3)  Viral

From step two onward, your internet marketing business is already making you to of money.  However, that is not enough.  You need to create a viral mechanism into the system and your marketing, that it will attract more customers every day, every hour, every minutes… even every second. 

Just like a life cycle of a human being, your internet business system must grow.  If it do not grow, it will shrink smaller and smaller and eventually, become a cost centre instead of a profit centre.  As you probably already see, you need to grow your internet business.

4)  Community based entertaining marketing

This pillar substain your internet marketing business.  You need to create an online community where your potential prospects, current customers can interact, build relationship and having fun.

People like to meet, whether it is offline or online.  You internet business system must facilitate and satisfy this need of them and they will stay with you like a leech. 

Not all community are created equal. People will want to interact in a community where they can receive a lot of value (relative to their perspective) and that they are having a lot of fun.  In other word, you need to build an online community where your prospects and customers can enjoy themselves and always looking forward to participate.

5) Duplication

Now this is the final finale. 

Once your internet business is profitable, automated, growing virally and community bounded, congratulation, you have already in the top 10% of the internet marketers who live the internet lifestyle.

This one last pillar is needed for you to grow your internet business even BIGGER than ever before.  You must duplicate your already successful internet business system for other products or niches.  Grow your business and expand your wealth. 

If you have build your internet system right, you will have realized that it can be duplicate.  If not, you may have done something wrong and need to take a look at how you can make adjustment to allow duplication.

This is true and make sense in real life but this is NOT what people want.

I have attended Patric Chan’s continuity program workshop in the earlier month.  At the two days workshop, he teaches us how to set up an online continuity program so that we can write ourselves a pay check every single month.

Anyone who has been long enough in the internet marketing industry will know Frank Kern and his ‘Mass Control’ product.

I am exposed to Frank when i make a purchase of the traffic secret 2.0 by John Reese.  As part of the purchase, Frank Kern (being a good buddy of John) offers to give us two uncensored DVD’s from his earlier seminar where the blueprint of Mass Control is originally birthed.

I have watched the DVD where Frank is presenting at one of Jeff Walker Seminar.  In that every presentation, Frank is sharing his original thought of Mass Control….

According to Frank, WB stand for Magic Bullet.  P stand for Proof.  LSESC stand for Low Self Esteem Succes Chance.

Essentially,  Frank is saying that in any successful marketing campaign, you need to have the magic bullet (a product/service that your market really want and they will NOT hesitate to throw themselves at you if you present to them what they really want.

Secondly, you need to have the ‘Proof’ to show your market that what you offer them WORK!

Finally, your marketing campaign must have an element of LSESC or low self esteem success chance.  Frank understant that people are generally suffering from low self esteem and image even if they do appear confidence and strong in front of their peers.  When left alone, the story will be dramatically different.

To lift up their low self esteem, your marketing message need to telegraph to them that you are just like them.  The only difference between you and them is that you have accidently acquired the product that you are selling to them now.  You are no smarter than them.  However, the product has work GREAT wonder in you and have advanced your dream and trun it into a reality. 

As such, it is possible for your market to just buy your product and they will achieve the same result as you or maybe just a little bit of your result will satisfy them.

I fully agree with Frank Kern here.  People will not buy from you if they think your solution to them is too complex and that they will not be able to use it for their advantage.  You need to instill confidence in them to buy and consume your product with empathy….

Isn’t this the strength of direct response marketing?  We are doing this sort of marketing on the internet while the BIG corporations out there are projecting the ME, ME, ME messages to the market.

They use institutional marketing, telling their market how good they are…. how long have they been established… blah..blah.. blah…. dumping all their advertising dollars to the drain.

Remember, people DO NOT care about you until they know you care.  It’s all about your market, NOT you.

Most of the time, when startup businesses failed, this are the reasons:

1)  Lack of marketing skill and knowledge (marketing is KING in any business)

2) Did not manage the cashflow correctly or mis-managed the cash

3) The founders give up when the ‘going’ is painful

Point number 3 is primary psychology.   This is partly due to the business founders not understanding the important fact that ‘Success breeds Success’. 

Yes, initially, just like in child birth, you will face problems and difficulties in running your business or even internet marketing business.  Do you give up at the first sight of problems?

Understand this.  When you preserver and push through, the momentum will come and you will find your business grow faster than you can ever imagine. 

Just like any internet marketing gurus out there, they work hard and preserver to make their first million dollars online for a long time (say 2 years or more).  After they make their first million dollars, it will find that it is faster to make the next million dollars (say 1 year 6 months) and much more faster to make the next 2 million dollars (say 1 year) and so on and so on.

Yesterday, Jo Han spills his gut out when he reveals the ultimate secret of gurus selling information products out there on the Internet.

 Well, by so doing, he is disclosing his own secret as he is a successful infopreneur himself.

The secret is about… exploiting the OBVIOUS on what the gurus are promoting to you.

You see, Jeff Walker and Eben Pagan have just launched their new product respectively recently.   Hmm… you probably have received ton of emails from them or from other gurus promoting the products to you.

Well this is normal, and the price tag associated with their products (especially if they come from the gurus) are not cheap.

What’s NOT normal (as stated by Jo Han) is the OBVIOUS.  It’s obvious that their product are in plain sight for all to see…. right under your nose.

 Huh! What do i mean?  You may ask.

Well.. you see, if someone sell you a $10,000 copywriting course online, don’t you think that they are using at least 99% of what he will reveal to you on the course (if you buy from them later) in the very same sales letter that sell you the copywriting course?

So.. with a bit of reverse engineering, you can simply get a glimpse of the ‘gist’ of what is inside the copywriting course.

However, if you are lazy and want everything to be lay out before your very eyes, then you can pay $10,000 for your laziness.

The implication here can be quite subtle and it is up to YOU to imagine… whether you want to buy the product at a high price or you do a little bit of homework to find out the OBVIOUS.

But inn a twist of brillance, you can differentiate yourself from other affilates and make more commision money than what the top 2% of the affiliates have made.  How?

Simple!  Studied how the owner of the affiliate program promote the product.  If you see something lacking in his marketing angle and if you can possibly fill this hole and make him more money, then you can capatalize on his lack and make a JV proposal to him.

For example, if you see that the owner can actually maximize his earning by transforming his info product into a membership site, then you can explore and find out more strategies on making profits with membership site. After you have done your research, write a proposal to the owner to get him excited and explain how you can add value to him by helping him to set up such a site.

When promoting or writing a sales copy for your product or service, you need to telegraph to them that all the hard work is done for them.  All they need to be wealthier or healthier or whatever your product or service will offer them, is simply to sit back, lazy and enjoy the desired outcome when they make that purchase.

For example, if you are selling a health pill, they can get become more healthier, look younger by simply swallowing the pill and let the pill do magic in their body at the cellular level.

Do you get it?

However, having said that, i think that most of the time, it pay to be brutally honest with your readers.  If you product or service cannot really offer that m-a-g-i-c offering to them, then you need to tell them.

For example, if your internet wealth building home study course does required your prospects to put in some SERIOUS work to make their dream come true, then tell them!

This way, you become more credible and in this age of hype and lie, you position yourself as someone your prospects can trust and do business with.  They would have appreciate you more when you tell them the truth other than concealing them and paint them an untrue rosy picture. 

My proposal to you is to strike a balance between capitilizing the *laziness* nature of your prospects and telling them the truth, nothing but the truth…
