Marketing To Woman
Without a shadow of doubt, we know that woman are BIG time buyers.
If you visit the mall, you will probably realized that most of the goods are targeted for woman.
Woman probably control 80% of the market and the other 20% is also indirectly control by woman.
Isn’t it true?
Who is in control of Warren Buffett or Bill Gates finances? Probably their wives!
So if we can learn how to market to woman, we can not only sell to woman, we can sell to man as well.
In order to market to woman, we need to study and understand the psychology behind a woman.
What make them tick and get them to buy?
Well, i am fortunate enough to meet up with Donna Fox at the SMART seminar. Not only do i have a chance to meet up with her, i have the priviledge to have lunch together with her too! And guess what she is feasting? She actually wallop up a bowl of spicy Laksa ( a local hot and spicy noodle ).
Amazing….
What MORE amazing is when she share with me how to market to woman. By the way, if you do not know Donna Fox, she is an internet marketer marketing soley to woman. There is nobody more qualify than her when it come to woman’s market.
Here’s is how the conversation go…
ME: Donna, as i am not a woman and i hope you can see that ( to the laughter of Donna and everyone around…), i want to know what is the psychology behind a woman? What make her tick?
Donna: Well… woman primarily are motivated by two emotional triggers. They want MORE love and LESS stress.
ME: Hmmm…. that’s make sense. From my experience with interacting with woman, i tend do agree with you. And one more thing… what is the differentiating factor in a buying decision between a woman and a man?
Donna: Good question. Man and woman are similiar in that they are looking for solution to their problem. However, the difference is that man will settle with any solution to their problem (as long as it is a solution), while woman wanted more than a solution to their problem. Woman want a PERFECT solution to their problem.
Me: Oh… that make sense. I know that woman are more detailed oriented than man. As such, it does make sense that they want a PERFECT solution, instead of JUST a solution to their problem.

The conversation goes on and we shift to other non internet marketing related topics.
Ha… it seen like there are a HUGH market out there selling to woman but it is also a market where we need to be more delicated in our product and service offering ( as we now know that woman want more than a solution….)
