I have been reading ‘The Soy Sauce Towkay’, the story of Yeo Thian In, founa der of Yeo Hiap Seng Sauce Factory in Singapore.  Who the heck is Yeo Thian In and what is this Yeo Hiap Seng Sauce Factory.

Yeo Hiap Seng is a listed company in Singapore offering food and beverages in bottles, can and convenient package.  The company have huge distribution network in all countries in South East Asia and has established agencies in Europe, America, Australia, the middle East and Africa.  It also has a trading company in the United Kingdom to cater to the increasing demand for its products in Europe.

The reason why an unknown man from China in Yeo Thian In who migrated to Singapore in 1937 with practically nothing in his pocket to his rise of stardom in creating a multi-national company is because of him heeding the four success principles that his father Yeo Keng Lian has passed on to him.

Here are Yeo Keng Lian’s four success principles and my interpretation of them.

1)  Take good care of the main door key.  Ensure that the shop is opened and closed on time.

My interpretation:  Be discipline in operating your business.  The key here is ‘discipline’.

2)  Take good care of the closet keys.  Keep a proper record of accounts and finances.

My interpretation:  Always watch your cashflow carefully.  Cashflow is the lifeblood of any business.

3)  Be a hands-on person whether it be greeting customers at the entrance or supervising the store at the back.  Spend time eating with staff during the day and sleep in the shop at night.

My interpretation:  Treat your customers with respect because customers the foundation of your business. Build a strong team and be a leader to them so that your business can operate like a well oiled system.

4)  Be diligent, meticulous, hospitable and mindful of others’ welfare.

My interpretation:  Learn to serve.  Serve more to receive more.  The is the final and most powerful marketing principle that work like magic all the time!

I will adhere all this four success principles in any business that i venture into.  If you are in business, you should do likewise.  To your business success!

What you are today is created by the words that you used everyday.  Shocking?  Unbelievable?

Hold your criticism for a moment and let me explain here.

Success is created in words.  What you said is what you hear.  What you hear is what you see. What you see is what you believe.  And belief  is everything!  It is all about a story you created for your life with words.

You cannot be sad unless you are running a sad story.

You cannot be happy unless you are running a happy story.

You cannot be wealthy unless you are running a wealthy story.

If you interviewed all the successful people in the world, you will realized that they write their own success story before they become successful.

Most of the people are taught to allow others to write their story.  They allow the employer to command them on what to do and how to do it.  Instead of taking the plunge into the world of business where the upside potential is unlimited, they choose to work in a job where they are just pawns in the plate.  How sad!

Dare to dream big and write you own success and wealth story if you have not done so.  Read it everyday and you will realized that every good thing in life is created with just a story.

Warren Buffett has replied to one of the university student on his question on the BIGGEST mistake that he has made in life.   Guess what?  This is his reply.  He said that it is not the mistake of commission but the mistake of omission that caused him a couple of billion dollars, his biggest mistake in life.

It is not the mistakes of what you do in life that are costly.  It is the mistakes of what you did not do in life that are costly.  How truth is this statement!  Many of us hesitate and procrastinate in doing the thing we want to do as a result of indecision and the fear of making mistake.  Successful people take action in spite of fear and when they failed when they take action, they learned from the mistakes and corrected their action for the future.

I have watched Stephen Pierce video on ‘the three questions to ask that will change your thoughts change your life forever’.

At first, i do not think much about it… ‘three questions that will change my life? Crazy or what! How CAN three questions change my life?’

However, all thing change when i watch the video…. My jaw drop to the floor. I have realized what’s gem this three little questions can do to anyone life.

It definitely change my perspective, outlook, desire and motivation after i ask this three questions myself.

The new year is coming and 2009 is drawing to an end.

In time like this, i am always anticipating…. what thing will hold for me in 2010.

One thing i do know.  The best way to predict the future is to create it.

If i want to make more money online in 2010, i need to do something.  I need a plan.

In view of the coming year, i would like to share with you a quote that hold very dearly to me.

Here’s you go: “You cannot possess what you don’t understand”.

To achieve understanding, we need to do it.  We can have all the knowledge necessary to make us successful.  However, if we cannot translate knowledge to understanding, we will not succeed.

This could  be the reason why so many people who have spent so much money attending courses failed in their endeavour.

They simply did not take action to gain understanding from the knowledge that they have acquired.

So… the progression of this successful formula is:

Knowledge —–>  Understanding ——>  Wisdom

When you are wise, money, success and wealth will flow to you… like a magnet attracting paper clips.
