Here is the start of the sales letter: ”This letter is one you can choose to ignore.Go ahead. Hit the ‘exit’ button.Forget you ever laid eyes on this.You’ll feel much better about yourself.Continue only at your sole discretion…YOU, A MIND CRIMINAL?….. blah blah blah”
What so amazing is that Jo Han uses such an outrageous copywriting starter. It’s the ‘Adam, Eve and God’ symptom.
You see…Adam and Eve eat the forbidden apples which lead to the downfall of mankind even though GOD has specifically informed them not to do so.You see.. Since Adam and Eve time, the fallen seed from Adam and Eve still ‘reside’ inside us. We simply want to do the things that we are told not to do.In this case, Jo Han starts in a controversy way to instruct his readers to ignore this letter if he chooses to…and if they feel better not to see it.Hey.. Hey.. The seed of Adam/Eve resurface in his readers. They want to bite the apple, in this case, they want to read on to find out what Jo Han is revealing. They are curious and curiosity kills them.
