John F Kennedy Is A Copywriter

Former president of the United State of America, John F Kennedy is a copywriter.  Not only is he a copywriter, he is a *freaking* good copywriter.

In his speech to the German in Berlin, he made one of his most powerful speeches.

The Berliners are applauding with every sentence he spoke.  Do you know why?

John Kennedy empathizes with the Berliners.  He praises them for the good work that they have achieved thus far.  He aligned himself and his value with the Berliners.

Is this not what most copywriters do in their sales letter?

They write in a way that make their readers feel that they empathized with them, give encouragement to them and make them feel important.

Bang!  The end result is instant rapport with the readers.  Once they have built rapport with their readers, it is easier to influence their buying decision.

Listen to what John F Kennedy below and decide for yourselves if he is a *freaking* good copywriter?

This is part of the transcript of the speech by John F Kennedy Berlin.

“I am proud to come to this city  as the guest of your distinguished Major (see how he give credit to the Berlin Major?), who has symbolized throughout the world the fighting spirt of West Berlin (once again, he make the Major feel damn good).

And I am proud — And I am proud to visit the Federal Republic with your distinguished Chancellor who for so many years has committed Germany to democracy and freedom and progress, and to come here in the company of my fellow American, genral Clay, who — who has been in this city during this great moments of crisis and will come again if ever needed.

Two thousand years ago — Two thousand years ago, the proudest boast was “civis Romanus sum.” Today, in the world of freedom, the produest boast is “Ich bin ein Berliner.”  (once again, he make the Berliners feel important.  Not only that, he identify with them and even speak in their language)……..

You decide if John F Kennedy is a copywriter or not.  For me, this is a undeniable fact!
